Michael Buck IP is pleased to announce that life sciences and chemistry patent specialist Brendan Nugent has joined the Brisbane based patent attorney firm.
Brendan is a highly experienced patent attorney having worked in some of Australia’s top intellectual property firms over the last three decades. Brendan used to be a partner at Griffith Hack, one of Australia’s largest patent attorney firms.
Brendan has a wealth of skills in preparing, filing and prosecuting patent applications in the field of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and organic chemistry and has managed large portfolios for major innovative organisations including CSIRO.
In addition to his notable achievements within the patent profession, Brendan was appointed by the Minister for Industry to the Professional Standards Board for Patent and Trade Marks Attorneys from 2013-2017.
Prior to becoming a registered Australian patent attorney, Brendan was a senior patent examiner at the Australian Patent Office (now IP Australia). More recently he was working at Marks and Clerk, Singapore.
