Client Spotlight: WISHLIST

Supporting Sunny Coast health since 1998

Undergoing surgery, rehabilitation and other ongoing medical treatments can be difficult at the best of times let alone during a pandemic. Wishlist is a not-for-profit charity which aims to make hospital experiences better by improving care and creating special programs that support patients and their families, both physically and emotionally.

Wishlist started in 1998 at Nambour Hospital and since then it has been their goal to raise much needed funds for important initiatives from innovative medical research to purchasing vital equipment and upgrading services.

This month, construction of Wishlist Centre (Stage One) starts at 1 Bright Place in Birtinya. Wishlist has collaborated with not-for-profits, non-government organisations and education partners on unique initiatives within Wishlist Centre. Medical, allied and specialist services will incorporate care plans with mental health and wellbeing.

The new centre will also provide much needed affordable transitionary self-contained, spacious and light-filled accommodation.

The facility is supported by a $12 million Federal Government grant through the Australian Government’s Department of Health, Community Health and Hospital Program.

Enhancing and protecting non-profit brands

As a charity, your brand may be your most valuable asset. Many popular non-profit organisations have registered trade marks and use them to help the public identify them. Trade marks convey to consumers goodwill and can impact the present and future success of marketing efforts for a charity.
